Village of Moms ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at villageofmoms.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

When you complete our onboarding form, we collect:

• Your first name, email address, and phone number
• Your baby's developmental stage and your parenting priorities
• Your weekly availability (time slots you're free to meet)
• Your ZIP code (used to estimate location for in-person matching)
• Your preferences: meeting mode, conversation depth, and topics to avoid

When you visit our website, we automatically collect:

• Page views and time on page
• Device type and screen size
• Referrer URL and UTM campaign parameters
• A one-way hash of your IP address (we do not store your actual IP address)

We also store your email in your browser's localStorage so you can check your status without re-entering it. We do not use tracking cookies.

How We Use Your Information

• Matching: We use your stage, priorities, location, and availability to match you with a compatible group of four moms
• Group chat: Once matched, your phone number is added to a group SMS conversation powered by Twilio. An AI assistant named Vi facilitates introductions and sends periodic conversation prompts
• Private check-ins: Vi may send you an occasional private SMS to check in if you've been quiet in the group
• Email notifications: We email you when your group is ready

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing
• We do not use your data to train AI models

Third-Party Services

We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages and manage group conversations. Your phone number and message content pass through Twilio's infrastructure. Twilio's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.

We use Mailman to manage email communications. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our servers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

Data Retention

We keep your profile and group chat history for as long as your group is active. If you'd like your data deleted, email us and we'll remove it within 30 days.

Your Rights and Choices

• Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts
• Get help: Reply HELP to any message for support information
• Request your data: Email us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Delete your data: Email us to request deletion from our systems
• Unsubscribe from emails: Click the unsubscribe link in any email
